Two seriously injured in morning crash

Two people have been seriously injured in a crash in Taranaki.Police were called to Denby Rd, Hawera South, at 5.30am.

One person has been taken to hospital by helicopter, but both are believed to be in a serious condition.

A police spokeswoman said it was a one-car crash and police were still at the scene.

"The serious crash unit has been notified," she said.
