Police have arrested three men after a man was shot in Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt early this morning.
A 24-year-old Stokes Valley man suffered gunshot wounds to his lower arm at approximately 5:50am.
His injuries are non-life threatening and he is being treated in Hutt Hospital.
Three men from Stokes Valley and Naenae, aged 24, 30 and 33, have been arrested for a range of firearms related charges.
"These arrests are the result of some excellent police work," Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnetta said.
