Kiwi girl group TrueBliss will be one voice down when they go up against Aussie counterparts Bardot at the next All Blacks-Wallabies test.
Both groups are due to sing the national anthems at the Bledisloe Cup rugby game in Wellington on August 5.
But the performance - and an earlier one this weekend in Auckland - will be without Carly Binding, who has quit the band.
Binding has signed a deal with a women's magazine for the story about her resignation from the television-created group, which has fallen from the limelight lately, and her solo-career ambitions.
The managers of both Binding and the band, Simon Grigg and Jonathon Dowling, were refusing any comment about the split yesterday.
However, Erika Takacs and Megan Bronwinne Cassie confirmed that they and the other two members of TrueBliss had unexpectedly received a letter of resignation from Binding.
Cassie said that while they briefly considered calling it a day after the news, they decided to carry on without Binding and hoped to revive their stalled recording career.
TrueBliss will perform at the first birthday celebrations of Auckland's Force Entertainment Centre on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Bardot, which sprang from the Australian version of the create-a-group show Popstars, is touring New Zealand next month and will play in Auckland on August 10.
Sudden departure rocks TrueBliss
