Stalker drove woman to point of leaving town

A stalker who persistently shadowed a woman drove her to the point of leaving town.

A previous conviction for trespass relating to the same person proved no deterrent to Robert James Ledingham, 44.

He got a final warning yesterday from Christchurch District Court Judge Stephen Erber, who said a repetition would mean jail.

Ledingham, who admitted criminal harassment, was sentenced to 200 hours community work and to two years supervision.
