The section of State Highway 29 which was shut down after a bus crash on Maungatapu Bridge has now been re-opened.
The crash blocked both lanes of the busy highway and police responded with diversions, a police spokeswoman said.
There were no injuries.
Western Bay of Plenty head of road policing Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said the bus and a trailer had collided on the bridge about 8.41am.

The bus was disabled and blocking the bridge.
Mr Campion warned motorists to avoid the area.
"Traffic will be banked up and there will be significant delays."
Diversions that were in place will be removed but the NZ Transport Agency warns there will still be delays in the area.
