Charting reggae four-piece Rebel Souljahz play Masterton on May 7 during their debut tour of New Zealand. Ara Adams-Tamatea said the four-piece unit had created two No1 albums and a string of hit singles in Hawaii.
The band started out as a college vocal group and have since developed into a
full live band.
''The demand in New Zealand has been so strong, two extra Live in Aotearoa shows were added to the tour and one has already sold out,'' Mr Adams-Tamatea said.
The band play at the Genesis Energy Recreation Centre during their eight-date tour of New Zealand. They will also team up with established Kiwi reggae bands Katchafire and 1814 at selected venues. Rebel Souljahz would shoot a video during their Kiwi tour for their latest Hawaiian charting track, Slow Down, which was recorded in collaboration with Katchafire, he said.
Tickets to the Masterton show are available at $25 each from Aberdeen Restaurant and through www.eventfinder.co.nz
