It can be very annoying when the fuel pump at petrol stations doesn't click in properly. Often you're standing there spending five minutes trying to click it in while the staff look at you from the window. It must be addressed.

I would like to give a big rave to all the guys who gave up their Easter Weekend to work on the bridge at Great North Rd and St Lukes Rd. While everyone else was enjoying a long weekend these guys worked day and night to get the work done so the bridge was able to be used when everyone went back to work yesterday. Well done, guys, it looks great and was amazing to see the progress every time I drove past. The inconvenience it caused some was nothing compared with the inconvenience it must have caused you and your families to have you working the long weekend. Cheers to all the guys working on the new motorway system.

What really got my ire today was when I had stopped at a give way sign on Te Atatu Peninsula to let traffic with the right of way go through, and some ignoramus behind toots and waggles his fingers at me because he would prefer me to crash into oncoming traffic rather than hold him up for two minutes on a peaceful Easter Sunday afternoon.

To the gentleman and his wife in the black peoplemover on Easter Monday who stopped to help a visually impaired older gentleman cross the busy intersection at Lake/Hart Rds, Takapuna - New Zealand, if not the world, needs more good sorts like you. There is grace in such a simple act of kindness.

Why is it that after enduring months of stoppages and restrictions in Putaruru the road is still a mess even after it's just been tarsealed? Not only are there holes but it is so rough it needs a permanent 30km sign.

We are from Auckland and our 10-year-old son was on school camp in the Waikato when he had an accident, breaking both arms. A huge thank you to Angus from St John, Waikato Hospital, especially WaiKids Surgery, E4 Ward and our roomie Sam, and parents Bridget and Glen. We wouldn't have survived four days without everyone's support and kindness.
