Plans to develop part of Raglan Golf Club into a $15 million housing development are back on, after a meeting between developers and the Conservation Department.
Father and son Phil and Marty Verry say their plan to build 60 units would provide a sound financial footing for the ailing club and have flow-on effects for Raglan businesses.
Their company, Environmentally Sustainable Communities Ltd, wants to build the units between the 16th and 18th greens.
DoC Waikato conservator Greg Martin said there was considerable local interest in the proposal.
