Police name dead pizza worker

The man shot dead at a pizza shop in Pakuranga last night was Marcus Peter Doig, a 23-year-old from Greenlane in Auckland.

Mr Doig was shot in the head by a Maori or Polynesian man who burst into the shop about 8.15pm demanding money. He died at the scene.

Mr Doig had a full time job at a bank and was working part time at the Pakuranga Pizza Delivery Company to pay for an overseas holiday.
