KLC Ltd has a vacancy for a competent and experienced Timber Machinist to run its Day Shift machining and knife grinding operations.
KLC has 4 modern Weinig moulders and knife grinders.
Applicants must have proven experience with timber machining (with appropriate qualifications) and leadership and the ability to achieve consistent quality output.
• Lead with a natural ability to manage and direct the activities of team members in the Planer Mill.
• Training and supervising employees in all tasks associated with the Moulder.
• Maintain quality and production targets are being consistently met.
• Assist in and ensure that routine maintenance is scheduled and carried out.
• Participate in the periodic review and analysis of work methods to achieve continual improvement in output quality and volume.
• You must have a good work ethic and be reliable in your work attendance and behaviour.
• You must be a Team Player who is good at communicating and leading a Team.
• You will need to be able to achieve balanced production, quality and safety from the team.
• You will need to be self-motivated and capable of being a top producer.
• You will need to be work fit and able to cope with the physical and mental demands.
