Person suffers serious leg injury in Te Puke incident

A person is in a serious condition after suffering an open femur (thigh) fracture in Te Puke this morning.

A St John spokesperson confirmed the person suffered the injury from a fall, potentially involving a rail bridge.

Emergency services were called to Gordon St just before 8am.

Ambulance crews were still on the scene.

Police, fire and ambulance all attended.
