Fire crew in Canterbury were at the scene of a car crash quickly this morning - it happened right behind the Lincoln Street Station.
Crew at the station were alerted to the accident by a witness who rushed into the building.
"A gentleman just came in and told us a woman had rolled her car at the back of us here down into the creek," chief fire officer Jeremy Greenwood said.
"We just drove around to the back and were able to assist."

Advertise with NZME.The car was upside down in the creek with the elderly woman trapped inside.
"Fortunately she had just minor injuries but we used the cutting gear to extricate her safely," Greenwood said.
"Because the vehicle was upside down we took the doors off as a precaution to get her out."
A police spokesperson said they were alerted to the crash at 10.06 am. The car had rolled trapping the driver inside. The driver had moderate injuries.
