Emergency services are at the scene of a fatal crash in Mangere.
A vehicle crashed into a power pole on Massey Road at around 5am.
There were two people in the vehicle.
One died at the scene, while another has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The road will be closed for several hours while the Police Serious Crash Unit investigates.
