Northland equestrian Vicki Wilson is world champion again having won the prestigious Road to the Horse title in America.
The experienced showjumping rider also claimed the winning purse of US$100,000, or NZ$138,236 after three tough days training two unbroken geldings before a huge crowd in an indoor area in Kentucky.
Wilson, from Hukerenui, was the only female in the event with all three men, from a western riding background, having won the title previously.
She won the competition last year in an all woman event and with her winnings brought home the gelding she trained in the competition and named him Kentucky.

Last year, Wilson had one of her sisters with her and a friend. This year she had her family in the crowd along with a Kiwi contingent of 17.
Before leaving her Hukerenui base for the three-day event she said was excited about challenging herself again.
"I definitely think there are bigger and better things to come this year," Wilson said.
The competitors got to see the horses after they were rounded up from a ranch and then taken to the event arena. They in front to chose two they wanted to train.
The riders had three sessions with each of their horses and then complete a difficult obstacle course on them.
All of the sessions were done under the scrutiny of a panel of judges and thousands of people in the crowd.
