Christchurch police are investigating two arson attacks in the southwest of the city.
Arsonists caused $150,000 damage yesterday when they attacked the St John Ambulance hall in Carmen Road.
The attack came came between midday and 12.45 pm, when paper was pushed under the doorstep and ignited.
Police want to hear from anyone who might have seen people in the vicinity of the hall about these times or anyone with any other information about the matter.
This followed another arson attack on Saturday night when attempts were made to burn down buildings at Manning Intermediate School in Hoon Hay Rd.
Police said that about 10.45 pm on Saturday a number of fires were set against school buildings.
The caretaker's shed was broken into and paint taken from the shed was thrown at the school buildings and also set alight.
The fires resulted in superficial damage to the school.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that may help to identify the offender(s).
