The absence of Lucky also meant she had stopped exercising, without Lucky she saw no point.
Lucky was registered, microchipped and was wearing a collar at the time she was taken.
The incident had been reported to police and now she was asking for the help of the public to help find Lucky.
"My life can't go on without her, she is like a part of my life.
"She is my whole life. I cannot lose her. If anyone knows her please let me know."
A police spokeswoman said a complaint was received about a dog being stolen on Saturday.
Police were making inquiries and examining the CCTV footage, she said.
"The Chihuahua was reportedly taken by a man and a woman, who left in a white vehicle.
"Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information that can help Police reunite the victim with her beloved dog is encouraged to contact Auckland City Police on 09 302 6400 or Crimestoppers on m0800 555 111."
