Three teenagers were nabbed by police in Napier last night as they were allegedly burgling a house.

Police said at 11pm the trio, all 16, were interrupted by a homeowner as they were in the process of stealing property from a Morse Street address.

The alleged offenders fled but were tracked by police and dogs to Kennedy Road, where they were subsequently arrested.

Police recovered stolen property at the scene.

The three offenders have been referred to Youth Aid.
