A $7.1 million Lotto win remains unclaimed this morning.
The ticket was sold at AJ's Lotto in Tauranga and struck the jackpot in last night's Big Wednesday draw.
But Lotto spokeswoman Amelia Mazur said the winner was yet to come forward.
"We'll be keeping an eye open. You've got 12 months to claim and it really depends on the winner [how long they take]. Last time someone won this much, it took them eight days."
AJ's Lotto owner, Linda Seng, also hadn't seen the winner. But that couldn't keep the smile off her face.
"It's amazing. I'm so happy because it's Chinese New Year. I think it was meant to be."
Several hopeful customers had popped in, hoping today might be their lucky day, Mrs Seng said.
"They all wish they're the winner."
A seven million plus booty isn't bad, but it pales in comparison to the shop's biggest Lotto winner. AJ's also sold the ticket for a $27 million prize in 2012, she said.
That prize went to a Tauranga man in his 20s, who bought the ticket after going to the store to get a haircut.
