Police have named the three people killed in separate road crashes within 48 hours in Canterbury.

Aliielua Fesili Salaivao, 38, was the only occupant of a van that had a collision with a south-bound car on Durham St, Christchurch, on Saturday night.

On Sunday night, Trish Anne Beets, 44, was the front seat passenger in a car struck by a bus at the intersection of Kilmore and Columbo streets.
