Murder accused's name suppression lifted

named Name suppression has been lifted on a man accused of murdering two English language students in Hamilton.

Jun Jie Ying is charged with the murders of 20-year-old Jia Ye and her boyfriend, Wenbin Sun, also 20.

He also faces two counts of burglary and one charge of unlawfully detaining Jia Ye before her murder.

Ying, 22, was remanded in custody until next month, when he is to reappear for a predepositions hearing.
