Minibus rolls in Otago, driver injured

A man has been flown to Dunedin Hospital with a serious arm injury after a mini van rolled near Clarks Junction, inland from Outram, this morning.

The three other passengers in the 10 to 12 seater mini van transporting clients to Middlemarch to start the Otago Rail Trail were treated at the scene for minor injuries by St John Ambulance, Senior Sergeant Matt Scoles said.

While the cause of the accident was still under investigation, the road conditions in the area had been described as treacherous due to ice, he said.
