Masterton District Council considers home insulation offer

Up to 500 Wairarapa homes may get insulation to make them healthier and more energy efficient under a joint initiative between Masterton District Council, the Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority and lines owner Powerco.

Houses would be fitted with Pink Batts, hot water cylinder wraps, hot water pipe lagging, draught stoppers and underfloor insulation products either free or at subsidised cost to homeowners.

Masterton District Council will decide next month whether to support the project.
