Masked man hits service stations

A silent man in a Hallowe'en mask used a large commando knife to menace and rob attendants at two Christchurch service stations.

An attendant at the Shell Lancaster service station in Moorhouse Ave was confronted by a man in a white mask and brandishing the knife early yesterday. He escaped with a small amount of cash.

The robber struck again at the Carlton Shell Station on Papanui Rd.
