Man denies robbing woman of cash in front of children

A Rotorua man charged with robbing a local woman of $300 at an Amohau St ATM in April has pleaded not guilty and elected trial by jury.

George Raymond Harris, 31, appeared before Judge Greg Hollister-Jones in the Rotorua District Court yesterday and was remanded in custody until at least July 20.

The judge told Harris the matter won't come before a jury until next year.
