One lucky punter from Hastings has scooped up $8.1 million on Lotto tonight.
The winning ticket was sold at Unichem Stortford Lodge Pharmacy in Hastings, with just one person from the area winning $8m from Powerball first division and $166,667 from Lotto first division.
It's the ninth time this year that a single Lotto player has bagged the top prize.
Five other players from Waipapa, Auckland, Lower Hutt and Ashburton are also celebrating tonight after winning $166,667 on Lotto first division.
The winning tickets were sold at the following stores and locations: Waipapa Dairy, Flatbush Supertee, Amigo's Dairy, Stationery & Lotto, Moera Corner Dairy & Lotto and New World Ashburton.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning locations should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
