One lucky Lotto Powerball player will wake up $9.3 million richer tomorrow.
A ticket purchased at Downtown Dairy in Otahuhu, south Auckland, struck big tonight; securing $9 million from Powerball First Division and a further $333,333 from Lotto First Division.
It is the eighth time this year that a lotto player has scooped the top Powerball prize.
Two other Lotto players from Wellington and Dunedin will also be celebrating after winning $333,333 each with Lotto First Division.
The winning tickets were sold at Whitcoulls Lambton Quay in Wellington and Countdown Andersons Bay in Dunedin.
Strike Four was also won by players in Auckland and Waitara, who each take home $260,994.
The winning Strike tickets were bought from Alfriston Dairy in Auckland and Waitara Post & Lotto in Waitara.
