Leaky homes top 1000 mark

The number of dwellings to be assessed for leaks has topped the 1000 mark, says Internal Affairs.

A total of 511 applications covering 1027 dwellings has been made for assessments by the Weathertight Homes Resolution Service.

Assessments are being completed around the country, with 132 under way, mainly in Auckland, said the service's national manager, David Curry.
