All Black legend Jonah Lomu is understood to have married for the second time in a secret ceremony at a luxury Auckland lodge.
Lomu is believed to have married his 30-year-old fiancee, Fiona Taylor, at 4pm yesterday before a marriage celebrant and 16 guests at Delamore Lodge on Waiheke Island, a source told the Herald.
The guests, who included Taylor's family and 28-year-old Lomu's manager, Phil Kingsley Jones, are understood to have pledged to keep details secret.
A source said: "There were six security guards and there were confidentiality agreements all over the place.
"I guess it was a nice wedding but I'm not the wedding type."
The lodge, moulded into the hillside at Owhanake Bay, with views out over the Gulf, and with suites at $556 a night, was named by Wallpaper magazine as one of the "best destinations on the face of the Earth".
The Herald was told Lomu wore a long black coat with a cream waistcoat. Taylor, a marketing executive from Ponsonby, wore a traditional white dress.
Neither Lomu's family nor his former partner of four years, Teina Stace, were among the guests, sources said.
Lomu, who suffers from a debilitating kidney illness, married South African Tanya Rutter in 1996 but they separated two years later.
