The Constellation Drive onramp northbound and offramp southbound on the Northern Motorway will be closed from 9pm to 5am tomorrow. Detours will be indicated.

Lessons in the old days
Helen Pearce, a field officer with the Post Primary Teachers' Association, gives an audio-visual presentation today of the range of post-primary education available to girls before 1945. The schools include some still in existence, such as Baradene College and Diocesan School for Girls, and those now defunct, such as Auckland Ladies' College and Melmerley. The venue is Auckland Girls' Grammar School in Howe St (use Gate 2) and the presentation begins at 7.30pm. Admission and parking are free.
Tree for the Queen
Manukau City residents are invited to attend a tree-planting ceremony to commemorate the Queen's 50th jubilee at 11.30am tomorrow at the He Taonga Hiranga Whakanui Whanau millennium sculpture at Manukau City Centre on the corner of Wiri Station Rd and Great South Rd.
