New and more-serious charges may be laid against a man who allegedly mistook Lower Hutt teacher Rose Ives for a deer and shot her dead at a campsite.
Andrew Mears, 25, of Hamilton, is already charged with careless use of a firearm causing death, but the case has been referred to the Crown Solicitor in Rotorua to review the circumstances of the death and the current charge.
