Harcourts asserts dominance in premier one netball

Any doubts Harcourts 1 were the team to beat in Netball Wairarapa's premier one competition this season were laid to rest when they scored a convincing 56-31 victory over Celtic 1 at the Genesis Recreation Centre on Friday night
Celtic went into the game just one win behind. unbeaten Harcourts on
the competition table and expecting to make a close game of it but Harcourts were simply too good on the day.
Kuranui College bounced back from a couple of defeats in successive weeks to edge out Sports Arena Carterton 36-34 and the big surprise came when Wairarapa College upset Gladstone All Blacks 24-22.
St Matthews Collegiate were made to work hard by Salute Greytown before winning 41-35 and Harcourts No 2 chalked up their second win of the season when they beat Carterton Red 32-22.
Next weekend will see the final round of preliminary games in the premier one series but the six teams to contest the main championship have already been found.They are Harcourts 1, Celtic 1, St Matthews Collegiate, Kuranui College, Sports Arena Carterton and Gladstone All Blacks.

Premier four: Carterton Social 15, St Matthews Junior A 9; Chanel Senior A 23, Wairarapa College Mozzys 13; Trevs 2 26, Carterton Social 21; St Matthews Development 23, St Matthews Junior A 17; East Coast 14, Wairarapa College Senior Reserve 2 6.
