An Auckland man accused of murdering his wife and abandoning his three-year-old daughter in Australia reappeared in court today.
Nai Yin Xue, 54, allegedly strangled his 27-year-old wife, An An Liu, in Auckland in September 2007.
He then fled to Melbourne where he dumped his daughter Qian Xun Xue ata railway station before travelling on to the United States.
In the High Court in Auckland today Xue listened through an interpreter as prosecutor Aaron Perkins outlined the crown evidence which would include witnesses in three countries - New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
Justice Hugh Williams then adjourned the case until May 14 to discuss which witnesses would be called and how their evidence would be heard.
