KEY POINTS:
Police are hunting two men after a woman selling fruit from a van in Mount Maunganui was assaulted and robbed yesterday.
Police said two men walked past the woman on Maranui St about 5pm.
One of the men returned and pushed the woman over, making off with a canvas Westpac bank bag containing money, Acting Senior Sergeant Craig Madden said.
The offender left on foot.
Both men were described as Maori in their mid 20s.
Mr Madden said traffic was heavy at the time and police would like to hear from anyone who saw the men.
