Four in court for nappy heist

Four men dubbed "the nappy brigade" by Judge Barry Morris appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday accused of stealing $30,000 of Treasures nappies. Police arrested them on Thursday night after they allegedly stole 10 pallets of nappies from a Carter Holt Harvey distribution centre in Onehunga.

The four cannot be named because one defendant, a 16-year-old, was dealt with under Youth Court rules. The Herald understands further arrests are likely. All four were granted bail and ordered to reappear next week.
