Most Kiwis are comfortable about the amount of public money spent on the 2013 America's Cup campaign, but fewer want to fund another challenge, a survey shows.
The poll, by UMR Research, shows 56 per cent of those surveyed approved of the $36 million of Government funding for this year's
cup challenge, with 37 per cent disapproving and 7 per cent unsure.
But just 41 per cent would be happy with the Government putting up the same amount of money for a future challenge.
National voters are the most supportive, with 71 per cent backing the previous funding, and 51 per cent happy to put up cash in future.
Only 42 per cent of Labour voters were happy to have supported the campaign and 39 per cent wanted to see it repeated.
