Exotic mozzie found

A disease-carrying mosquito not seen here before has been found in flowers from India at Auckland Airport.

Culex gelidus, or frosty mosquito, is common in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea and has recently been found in Australia.

Frosty mosquito can carry human diseases such as Japanese encephalitis, a swelling of the brain that can be fatal.
