A hardy model of digital camera is being recalled after it was discovered to give users an electric shock.
Worldwide about 75,000 of Kodak's DC5000 Zoom Digital Camera are being recalled.
About 400 of the $1500 cameras were sold in New Zealand, Kodak New Zealand managing director Murray Walton said today.
The camera
could give an electric shock because of an assembly fault but Kodak would repair and return cameras to users, Mr Walton said.
"Obviously we're really sorry this has occurred. We want to make sure people are safe."
A dedicated phone number, 0800-447-417, had been set up to take recall queries.
