Save The death of a cyclist north of Auckland has prompted police to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
The 63-year-old man was found by motorists just after 5pm yesterday, lying on Weranui Rd, Wainui, near Upper Orewa Rd.
Members of the public attempted CPR but the man died at the
scene. Police say it is too soon to confirm whether a vehicle was involved.
They want to speak to anyone who may have seen the cyclist riding in the area or who could provide further information.
The man was wearing a blue and orange cycling shirt, black cycling shorts, and a red and white helmet.
