Five arrests after alleged burglary in Rotorua

Five people under the age of 17 were arrested after an alleged burglary in Rotorua on Saturday.

The group allegedly entered the house of an elderly woman, in her 90s, while she was home about 2pm.

Police were called to Elizabeth St shortly afterwards.

Authorities were made aware of the incident after a neighbour saw the men.

The group were located by a dog handler.

The elderly woman was said to be shaken but unharmed.
