Children playing with fire

Firefighters yesterday attended the second house fire in Rotorua in a week caused by children.

The three people in the Sunset Rd house managed to get out safely, but firefighters fear it is only a matter of time before someone is injured.

The latest blaze was started by a 4-year-old playing with matches in a bedroom. It is believed the child got a fright when the room caught alight and left it.
