Body found in Wellington street

A 60-year-old man is dead after falling from the Kelburn viaduct in central Wellington early today.

A police spokesman told NZPA the death of the man, about 4.30am, was not suspicious.

The man fell on to Glenmore Street, where a passing motorist thought he had "run over a body".

The road was closed for about two hours but had reopened.

The man's death would be referred to the coroner.
