A 45 year-old woman has been charged with murder, after a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later died.
The woman was granted name suppression when she first appeared in the District Court in Auckland on Wednesday, charged with assault.
She will appear again today, charged with the murder of 56 year-old Tom Joseph Rihia.
Police and ambulance staff were called to a home in the Auckland suburb of Mt Roskill at about 4pm, last Tuesday.
Mr Rihia was rushed to hospital but later died.
