Ashburton youth loses arm to saw

An Ashburton furniture business is being investigated by Occupational Safety and Health after an employee lost an arm while operating a saw.

Witnesses at Robert Grice Furniture have been interviewed to determine if it was a machine or human error.

The young victim was using a rise-and-fall-type saw.
