A knife-wielding robber held up a west Auckland service station last night for the second time in two days.
The man hit the Challenge Service Station in New North Road at the same time on Sunday night and Monday night.
Police said he may also have been the person who robbed three other service stations at knifepoint in the last few days.
The man walked into the Challenge Service Station at 11 pm last night and escaped with a small amount of money.
He is described as a male caucasian in his 20s with a slim build, dark complexion and about 1.8 metres tall.
He was wearing baggy jeans, a yellow tee-shirt and a black balaclava.
Detective Aaron Pascoe from the Auckland Central crime squad said police were worried the man would use the 10cm knife on someone if he was not stopped.
"He hasn't caused any injury yet but obviously people doing armed robberies with a knife are up there in the violence category," Mr Pascoe said.
