A woman accused of organising illegal migrants to enter New Zealand has had the case against her dismissed.
Wimonrat Konsaijan was discharged this morning in the High Court at Auckland where she had faced an allegation of arranging for four unauthorised migrants to enter the country for material benefits.
A High Court trial was meant to begin today.
However, Justice Timothy Brewer told the court the case would not proceed because of a dispute of the law.
After legal argument yesterday, Justice Brewer said he determined the relevant section of the crime act, which was enacted in 2002, was not as "wide" as the Crown had intended.
