McCaw - who was one of Williams' five groomsmen - did not have a date for the wedding but was also a centre of attention.
"Everyone was flirting with him," said the guest.
Williams told the New Zealand Woman's Weekly that the wedding day was amazing.
"Today was much harder than playing an All Blacks match. I'm used to people watching me as part of a team - that's second nature - but this was different.
"This was everyone we love coming together just for Casey and I. It was right out of my comfort zone, but it was so cool."
As well as McCaw, guests included fellow All Blacks Dan Carter (and his new wife, Honor), Jerome Kaino, Jimmy Cowan, World Cup coach Sir Graham Henry and socialite Aja Rock.
The newlyweds have treated their Queenstown sojourn as a honeymoon, after several trips away since the Rugby World Cup.
