This curious British exercise may become a cult classic, if only because director Len Wiseman has pinched bits from so many cults that some of them have to stick.
At its centre appears to be a gothic horror in which the vampires, led by Seleena (Kate
Beckinsale), are dealing to the werewolves, under Kraven (Shane Brolly). Unnaturally, there's a human stuck in the middle , a poor sucker played by Scott Speedman.
Dear old Bill Nighy fronts as Viktor, the head of the undead, as the director fills out two hours with sub-plots that try to explain the war to start all wars, solve the problems of the environment and chromosomal mismatching, all dressed up in costumes and sets that might have been discarded from the early working drawings for Blade or The Matrix.
