Campy and epic, filmed in glorious Technicolor, starring famous baldie Yul Brynner (here in a wig) and the famously big-breasted Gina Lollobrigida, and lots of posing, frowning, swooning and lust.

Or at least lust as they did it in 1959.

Your life won't be improved, you'll learn nothing and there is no morally uplifting reason for watching it, but the hours will pass effortlessly and you'll laugh in all the wrong places at this gem which often appears in those "worst movies of all time" lists.

In other words, it's the perfect rental for a wet Sunday afternoon.
