No room for Madonna

Temperamental chef Gordon Ramsay revealed yesterday he knocked back Madonna from his London restaurant - because there was not enough room.

The pop superstar had tried to get a table at the Chelsea eatery of the three Michelin-starred kitchen guru, notorious for once booting out actress Joan Collins.

In a Radio Times interview Ramsay said he was not bothered about packing his restaurant with famous faces - and did not take "backhanders" to let them in.

He said: "Every concierge in this country gives us a hard time trying to make reservations ... I've turned down Navratilova because we were full."
