We came here because we had been to the Tepid Baths nearby for swimming lessons and thought the 3-year-old had earned a treat.
Parking was free on a Sunday and easy to find after a drive around the block.
We walked in and immediately thought this looked the
best from the many offerings around the Viaduct. It was busy but there was still plenty of room and shade from the sun.
The most unusual thing on the menu the breakfast bruschetta - scrambled eggs, spinach, sliced tomato, feta and pesto layered on ciabatta ($15).
We ordered the breakfast bruschetta (it combined most of my favourite foods in one dish), eggs benedict with bacon ($15), and kids-sized bacon and scrambled eggs on ciabatta ($7.95). The bruschetta was delicious and hit the spot, and the hollandaise on the eggs benedict was perfect. The bacon and scrambled eggs, which was almost an adult portion, was quickly devoured.
The service was good. The meals arrived quickly and the waitress kindly brought crayons and paper for the wee one.
The coffee was very strong, even though I asked for a half-strength latte.
We recommend if you come here you take a leisurely walk afterwards to admire the superyachts moored at the Viaduct.
Overall, we thought top marks. Great setting, interesting menu and terrific food.
